NWR: Sympathy card question

My best friend's grandma passed away earlier this week, and tonight is the wake. I'm going to pick up a sympathy card but do I get one for my friend and one for my friend's mom? (Her mom and I are sorta close...we talk every few weeks or so). Or do I just get one for the family?
My friend doesn't live with her mom; she's married.

I'd get two - one for her family and one for her, which you can write a more personal message in.

I would just do the family. Your friend can always show her mom.

I'd get one for the family and hand it to your friend.
