Thats terrible! Good thing the truck stopped. Since your husband wasn't driving and it was parked, if they total the car out u should get the amount its worth probably. Sorry to hear about all the added stress though!

I hope the insurance helps you out too!!! so sorry this happen!! I feel you with the bad luck!!I just got a new car in May and two people already hit me within a month after getting it!! And no insurance! lucky it was nothing major.

I am so sorry this happened :( I got into a car accident last year that was claimed 100% the other persons fault and they gave me a check for how much my car was worth before the accident so hopefully this is what will happen!

Thanks so much ladies! It's so frustrating. FH thinks it only affects him, not us. Waiting to hear from the insurance company, they move so slow!


They definitely move slow! It took me 2 months to finally get my check so just keep calling them and be a pain in the butt about it or else they will keep putting you on the back burner also if you haven't already make sure they give you a rental car and pay for the entire thing! when this all happened to me they gave me a rental but wanted me to pay the tax and I refused since none of it was my fault so it seemed like they ended up moving faster because they didn't want to keep paying for it

Yeah, I know about the rental car. It's nys law actually that they have to provide one and cover the costs but we have to wait for the adjuster! Argh!!!
