NWR: Tanning question

NWR: Tanning question

FH and I just started tanning for our wedding, which is just under 5 weeks away. I plan on going 2-3 times per week to slowly build a base. My question is...should I be using a lotion? I did the first time, but not the second. What does it do for you? I know the lotion I used did not have a bronzer/accelerator in it. So what was it for???

I would use a lotion that has a bonzer in it. It just deepens your tan.

Yup. Use a lotion. I use a lotion called Absolute. And i think the other one I have is Black (not sure though). They have accelorators in it that 'encourage' your skin to tan, as well as bronzers. Look for lotions that have both accelorators and bronzers. Secondly skip anything that has Tingle. All it does is make you red. All so stick to high pressure beds, and avoid low pressure. High pressure will least likely burn you, where low pressure will make you red.
HTH let me know if you have any other questions...

At the tanning salon I went to they told me that lotion makes you tan 40% more because when your skin is dry the UV rays go the opposite way and it takes about 3-4 minutes for your skin to start tanning... or something like that.

If you use a lotion your tan will last longer. Ask them what they recommend.
