So, we sent in our taxes about a week and a half before the due date. We're suppose to be getting a pretty big refund which we could REALLY use right now for the wedding and HM. Does anyone know in general how long it takes to get your refunds back?

i sent mine on 4/16 and had my check by 4/23. I didn't choose to have it sent electronically - this was a real paper check.

I had my done using Turbotax....and it took like 2 weeks to receive my check in the mail..I was quite surprised

I e-filed on the sunday before they were due & it was deposited in to my checking account on Friday

If you go to www..IRS.gov, click on where's my refund, and then put in your soc# and total due back they will tell you when or about when you should receive your check.
Hope that helps. If it doesn't work FM me and I'll walk you through it.
it depends on how you filed...if you e-filed it takes about 3 weeks...if you did it by mail it takes about 6-8 weeks...shorter if you did direct deposit.
with that being said, we mailed ours in the last week of february...6 weeks passed and we kept checking the 'where's my refund' function on the irs website and nothing ever showed. after speaking with the irs i found out that they NEVER received our taxes. so we had to refile them. now we have to wait an additional 6-8 weeks for our refund, which we could really use RIGHT NOW. it stinks. we plan to e-file next year.
if the 'where's my refund' function on the irs website doesn't pull anything up for you, definitely call them and find out what the hold up is.

usually takes 2-3 weeks electronically. I did mine in late Jan. got the refund in two weeks...so you should be getting something soon.

I just did mine on 4/14 and I did direct deposit. It was in my acct. in 2 weeks. If you did D.D. you may get a surprise this week.

Thanks ladies, i just checked online and it says its due to mail out on May 4th OMG im so excited. my account is literally empty and we NEED this $$$ for so much right now. Im going to be stalking our mailbox next week

i got mine direct deposit to my account 5 days after I filed it (w/c was 4/17/07 mid nite)...but its not that much that was probably the reason why it was quick
