NWR-TAX RETURNS

NWR-TAX RETURNS

I had Keith's tax return from the federal to be direct deposited into his account. It says today will be deposited but I tried to pay his insurance with his debit card visa. and it says it wont go through.

Question is how long do I have to wait. Do you do it before. Bank will not give me any answers because I am not on the account.

HELP

You should go to the IRS's website and theire is a section called 'where's my tax refund' - it should give you the status there.

u might have to wait till like after 3pm to do it.. it takes a few hours.. depends on when the bank actually puts the deposit in for you. The IRS send the bank the check then the bank deposits it. So its up to the bank when they put it in. I hope that make sense!

Thats why I work in a dental supply company. With a credit card machine and I will try it during the day. The girl at the insurance place said she would try it to.

ugg.

I guess the government wants to take forever to give up the money.

I'm a tax preparer--and the refund cycle chart is usually just an estimate--but a pretty good one. It might also have to do with your BF's particular bank. I know that myself and many of my clients, the day it was supposed to be there--it was there by 9 a.m. with no problem, and I was able to access the $$ that day. Perhaps for some reason thre is a delay in the deposit.

While the IRS might say it's going to be deposited---keep in mind that this is only an estimate, and you shouldn't write out checks and such until you know for SURE that the money is there. Even the IRS 'Where's my Refund' states that it should be deposted by XX date, but that you shouldn't notify the IRS of any problems until at least 30 days later--since they know that things happen and money can get delayed.

Its usually clears the next business day...depending on the teller they can clear it for you right away its a government check.

They are (irs) usually dead on accurate. If its not there there might be a problem with the account number or rounting number. One year i put the wrong routing number and I had to wait for them to send it by mail.
