NWR: TEACHERS .....

I got hired for a Summer School position, But I wont know the details until late June...

Do you have any idea what Summer School Pays and what the hours are???

is it high school?

the hours are usually 7:30 - 1, give or take...

the pay depends on the district.... sometimes it depends on the number of sections you teach...

For my elementary school the hours of summer school are 8:15- 11:30 and the pay is like $2300, but then take taxes out and its more like $1500. And it usually goes for 30 days.

I work in upstate NY (BOCES) and have worked in a summer program for a few years now...Typically the programs are typical school day lenght. The pay is what I was normally getting during the year. HOWEVER for BOCES in upstate NY you do not get any sick time...since you are what they call a per diem employee you get paid only for what you work....and our BOCES did not pay until almost the end of the summer (even though I was in the freaking system...they claimed it took almost 4 weeks to set up pay check info)

My program for this year will run from July 6th to August 10th (HS program)
