NWR: Teachers--Cinderella Around the World
Re: NWR: Teachers--Cinderella Around the World
I would read different versions, like Mufaro's Beautiful Daughters, Yeh Shen, etc. Have the students compare and contrast using the story elements. After you read each book and map the story elements, you can split the children into groups and give each group one of the books. The groups can draw pictures and write about each story element. You can display the work of each group on a bulletin board by putting the book title on the side, and the story elements on the top. Then put up the group work that matches down the row.

Each one of the texts is a story from a different country. So, you can also research a little on each country, like the language, customs, etc. This is something we do in the 3rd grade in my school. The whole project takes a few weeks.
