nwr-TEACHERS ON HERE-repost from bhb

Hi ladies,
If you are a teacher and know of any openings in your school district could you please let me know? I am currently subbing (in 3 districts) but as my FH is getting laid off after the holidays I really need a full time job.
I am certified k-6 general and special education. Thanks!!!

Good luck with that.

Check out the western suffolk BOCES website. I get an email of upcomming workshops, but they also post job openings and it is a place for you to post yourself!!!

have you checked private schools? i was subbing for awhile, and i *just* got a full time permanent position in a private school

I know my district is hiring something like 30 people by Feb. 1. But it's mostly reading, ESL, math coaches, literacy coaches, no gen ed or sped classroom positions...I don't think. You can try looking on OLAS for openings.

Which districts do you sub in? Subs in my district work basically every day even though we don't have 'permanent' subs. But my district is so big they alwaysss need subs...they pay well too. FM me if you want to chat more

First off congrats!!!!! That's fantastic. I am completely open to working at private schools, I don't know of any so if you wouldn't mind FM some schools you know of that would be great. Seriously thank you !

but check OLAS if you are not already and I will FM u a list I made (about a year ago) of districts on LI that do not use OLAS so you can check their individual websites. Good luck!

I also have a lot of lables made for district offices (and HS's and MS's but I dont think those would helps) if you want to do a mailing let me know I will send you the lables.
