I am trying to put togther my resume and it is so difficult to sum up what I do. I do so many different things.
I am an enrichment teacher and my main goal for the year was to do hands-on projects.
I was wondering do I list the specific projects that I did??
For example if I wrote:
Enrich curriculum subject areas through hands-on project-making.
Should I list these projects or is that something I would explain on an interview if asked?
Thanks

Re: NWR: Teachers, resume help
Your resume should only be one page so if you can fit listing all the projects then go for it, otherwise I would leave it off. Or you can write just one or two examples of the enrichment projects you've done.

Re: NWR: Teachers, resume help
Definitely mention the kinds of projects you've done. My principal would do cartwheels if he saw something like this on a resume 'Enhanced student understanding of {subject} through project-based learning'

I like this one! I dont know if I would put examples on there. Let them wonder, that might be why they call you in for an interview!

I was lucky. I was told 'to have fun'. The principal said that kids don't have fun anymore.
I wish I wasn't losing the job
I am so sad!
Thanks

Re: NWR: Teachers, resume help
My principal always says the more specific the better....so if you can briefly describe the projects it might give you an edge you never know! Good luck!

i would try to use the word 'collaborative' somewhere in there. it seems to be the new buzzword.

Re: NWR: Teachers, resume help
i would mention the type of position you had in your cover letter...t hat will grab them since the resume can't be too long...
in the resume, try to use numbers in stead of listing everything... for example, you could say: 'i did 60 hands-on projects' and the interviewer will ask about that, i'm sure...

Re: NWR: Teachers, resume help
I would not list them...they want to see a highlight of what you have done at a glance. You can use your cover letter to describe in more detail some of the projects you have done. Also, you can add them to your portfolio to bring on interviews..

Re: NWR: Teachers, resume help
Although your resume should be one page, you should try to summarize everything that you do on one paragraph or two paragraphs. I have been on interviews at job fairs where teachers bring binders full of pictures, and sample lesson plans, certificates, letters of recognition, etc....You may want to show off some of your projects and abilities through that. Hope that helps.....
