NWR: Teachers:Anyone ever do a dinosaur unit?

I am looking for some fun activites for kindergarten. Any suggestions?

I thought about maybe having them stuff dinos, but I am afraid they will hurt themselves of the staples.

Any other ideas?

Thanks

I don't know what grade you teach but I have taught everything form pre-k to 4th grade and done all the Dinos. LOL
For younger kids I would take a sand box and burry small toy dinos and have them go digging with paint brushes. This is good to help explain the work of an archeologist or palentologist.
Explain the difference in a herbavour verses a meat eaters teeth. Give each child a dinosaur and use play food. Have each child look at their dino and tell if they are meat eater or plant by their teeth bing pointy or rounded. Then have them go around the room and collect only the types of food that each would eat. Example: meat eaters would pick up the chilcken or hot dog (lol).

Also EDHELPERS.com has some really great ideas I would use all the time and it is free (most of it anyway). So check it out, you search by grade and subject.

aww this makes me miss teaching a class. LOL

Hope this helped....have fun!\
