I'm in so much pain, Going to see dentist at 640 today, I don't know if I'll make it til then. MY whole left side of my mouth feels like its throbbing yet numb at the same time. It might be from my wisdom teeth, not sure, but OMG the pain
Update:
So turns out I might be grinding my teeth at night, and he wants me to keep track of when I have pain the most during the day or at night. He also removed one of my fillings and replaced it with a new one because he said there was discoloration which means with the replacement either everythng will be ok or I might have nerve damage which means there will be pain and I'll need a root canal

thats stinks i went through the same thing about a year ago....i got all my wisodn teeth pulled. feel better!!

Yeah I'm going to really consider getting them pulled even though he said as long as there isn't an infection to leave them, but my bottom ones are impacted and I can't take the pain anymore.

take some pain killers if you haven't already. tylenol or advil usually is best for toothaches.

yeah I took extra strength tylenol, it finally helped a little.

I hope you dont need a root canal. the last time i had the most awful throbbing tooth ache was when i need a root cana. I hope you feel better soon.

walgreens sells a night guard for like $20 - its like a football mouthpiece (you can probably buy one of those for 2 dollars) and you boil it for a few minutes, then dunk it in cold water to cool it off, put it in your mouth and bite down. it will take a mold of your mouth. wear it at nite - if you grind your teeth it will act as a barrier and elleviate pressure on your teeth and jaw.

no mouthpiece yet, he wants to first see how I feel the next couple days to make sur I don't need root canal. I have to call him on Monday.

WoW!! FH woke up today with entire right side of his face swollen due to an absess in his tooth! We have an appointment tomorrow with an Oral Surgeon!

awwwww I am sorry you were going through that ~ I actually grind my teeth @ night - I was in extreme pain in my jaw down my neck that would cause me severe migraines...A couple of months ago I was fitted for a mouth peace like a retainer (I have to wear when I sleep) and since them the swelling in my face has gone down and migraine free wooohooo...
Grinding the teeth is very bad and with years of grinding can cause you to wear down your teeth to the enamel - so if you need to get a mouth peice it is soo worth it - they also say teeth grinding can be caused from stress...
