NWR: TERRIBLE SALON EXPERIENCE--FRIENDS SALON IN ASTORIA!!

So I decided to go to a local hair salon to get my hair dyed ONE COLOR which I was under the impression was called SINGLE PROCESS!!!

I go to FRIENDS Hair Salon because a few people I know, Including Denise from LIW go here and say they are very good.

I check out their website, it says $50 and up for single process.

I make an appointment to go in and I tell the guy I want SINGLE PROCESS done and that I want one color all over--he says, no problem.

Long story short, after a dye, hair cut and blow dry the bill is $140!!!!!!!

They also charged me $5 because I used my credit card!

After I leave I am like...was that expensive or was it just me? So I call my friend who gets her hair done often and she confirms that it was DEF over priced.

SO, I call them back and the guy tells me that I had DOUBLE PROCESS DONE!!!!!!! He said SINGLE PROCESS means ROOTS!!!!

I told him that is FALSE advertising!!!!!!! He offered me '$30 off my next visit' YEAH OKAY, LIKE I AM GONNA GO BACK!!!!!!!!!

I am so pissed. So if any Queens ladies are thinking of going to FRIENDS SALON IN ASTORIA ON DITMARS BOULEVARD--THINK AGAIN!!!

It's ILLEGAL for them to charge an extra amount because I used a credit card.

I am totally going to file a complaint against them with the Better Business Bureau. I am so angry!

I ONLY went to this place because it was close and I honestly don't have time to go somewhere too far...I am so pissed at myself for going!

i used to go to le coupe,(next to zodiac) but they closed.


stay away from titan, unless you wanna get ripped off... i filed a complained with bbb.. lolol i started world war 3

p.s.--I tried to find this salon on BBB website and couldn't!!!

long story short, with blonde hair i didnt look greek... so they tried ripping me off, charging me double for elies.. and then i go to complain, manager takes me back to the elies.and the lil greek man is literally standing on the barrells changing the price on the blackboard. im like wowwwwwwww. every1 was cheering me on. i was soo pi$$ED.. anwyay this thread is bout u , not me lol i have a bad habit of rambling lol

I never go to Astoria... and I already have a wonderful hair person who i will go to for the rest of my life!

But I have NEVER HEARD of charging $5 for using a credit card! That's insane and pathetic. And that is false advertising! A single process is one color like you said. I never heard of roots etc. And not only that but why didn't they correct it when you said you wanted a single process of one color all over? It was at that point where they should have said 'We are cheapos and we consider a single process as just roots, we understand that no other place does this.. but hey we are here to take your money so that's what we are going to do!'.... ha ha.. ok maybe not quite that.. but they should have told you the deal at that moment.

Boy I keep hearing all these posts lately about vendors and such... and I guess considering my own ordeal this weekend... it hits a nerve... and I get sooooo PISSED about it! AAHHHHHHHHH!
