Okay, my brother has a girlfriend who is a complete b*t*ch. They don’t have a healthy relationship, always fighting and screaming, and sometimes it gets real nasty. Anyway, last week they got into a brawl and my brother decided to call off the relationship. They live together in an apartment downstairs from my grandparents. She wouldn’t leave the house, so he stayed at my place for the week. Saturday we all went out to celebrate my birthday. While we were outside the bar she pulled up. My brother left and his girlfriend came in the bar. She makes scenes everywhere - not caring who is around. Anyway…I feel stuck in the middle – she calls my phone looking for him and I don’t answer. I don’t really care for his girlfriend anyway, but I feel bad. Saturday night, after the bar, he went home and there she was sleeping in his bed. Ever since then, she answers his cell and doesn’t forward the message that I called. My fiancé came home last night and said to me, “where not aloud to talk to Eric anymore.” I am so upset. I know what I have to do, but timing never seems right. My brother put me in this situation – made me look like an *** – and he’s back with her. I need hugs!

Re: NWR: The B***** of the Century
Is you FH the one who is saying you are not allowed to talk anymore or is if ur bros gf? Whatever the case you cant let anyone get in the middle of you and ur brother. If he lets his gf run his life like that well then he is just as much as fault as she is. I know that if anyone told me that I wasnt allowed to talk to MY brothers..I would literally be ripping some hair out. Good luck sweety its a tough and touchy situation that you are in. FM me if u need to vent some more. I have 3 brothers and we are all very tight so we all have had our ups and downs with eachother.

Re: NWR: The B***** of the Century
i'm going through a very similar situation. my brother is living with this nightmare of a girl and it has turned my whole family upside down because every other day he is with her and then not with her-- on and off all the time.
he'll call and say they are breaking up and ask for our help to move him out and ask my parents if he could move back in and we get all excited that he is coming to his senses and returning back to normal and then he will disappear for a week and then the next time we speak with him he will say everything is okay... it's so upsetting for me and extremely upsetting for my mother.
if i were you, i know it's so hard, but i would not let him stay with you anymore when these things happen. and then next time you talk to him i would explain that he makes you feel in the middle of a very unhealthy relationship and that he needs to stand up on his own and make a decision about her. he needs to realize that that type of relationship is never going to work and it is hurting his relationship with family.
if you convey how you feel and state that in the future he can't come and live with you every other week when they are fighting maybe he'll realize or at least if he doesn't--then in the future you won't be in the middle like you are now.
i do hope it works out and he comes to his senses and realizes that he deserves better than that and that relationships are not supposed to be so much work!! and they are not supposed to be so many crazy arguments and on/off moments either!! take care and good luck!!!

My brother's girlfriend said that to my FH. Last night FH called my brothers cell phone and she answered. Its sad....no one in my family cares for her. She is an only child coming into a family where my brother has 4 sisters including myself - there's a lot of jealuosness going on! I hate to be a bit*** about things, but she needs to go! My brother doesn't need the baby, immature, selfish drama.

It is so hard - I can't even imagine turning my back in times when he needs my help. I really have to have a sit down with him. There are so many things that tick me off about her. At one time we were friends, then she slept with my brothers best friend and I was discusted. We didn't talk until I got engaged and she decided she wanted to be my best friend - wonder why?. Anyway, I can't stand her personality: 'I want, I want, I want.' My brother brought her a three stone diamond ring (which is an anniversary ring) that she 'wanted' - she wears it on her wedding finger....ahh a little pychotic...I think so.

Sometimes the hardest thing is when people hurt our family. It seems that they can get over it and move on but you can't. I know how you feel. Try to just support your brother and his decisions even if you don't agree.

yeah, my brother has a son-- my nephew who is four and his GF tries to compete with a four year old for who gets the most of my brother's attention... who competes with a toddler?!! i mean, he needs to put his son first and she should understand that b/c he is a CHILD she should take the high road and be supportive. but no, she calls him every five minutes when he is trying to spend quality time with my nephew always needing something--it's like she is five and she has a MAJOR drinking problem...
it sounds like your brother's GF is similar in ways-- and you are right about the ring, that's just weird and the things she has done in the past like sleeping with his friend show how much she doesn't respect him.
i understand how hard it can be to turn your back on your brother-- there are problems so often with my brother that when he calls my sister and i we sometimes don't even have the energy to try and tell him what we tell him EVERY time-- that he needs to break up with her!
you are right, your best bet is to sit down and talk with him and explain to him that he needs to consider his family and if she cared for him she would consider his family first over everything-- i mean, god knows how much crap do i put up with from FH's family that i wouldn't put up with if i didn't care about him--i bite my tongue a lot because ultimately, i need to do what is best for my FH... i'm def pulling for you!!
