NWR- the official Long Island 'cheap(er)' gasoline thread
This may be the lamest idea I've had yet...but maybe we can all help each other. Gas is rediculous ...even the cheaper gas prices are rediculous...but since some stations are cheaper then others, instead of driving around aimlessly (wasting more precious gasoline) looking to save 3 or 4 pennies per gallon, I was thinking if we all posted where we have seen 'decent' prices it would help. Be specific though. Maybe someone driving around in your area will be able to find a better deal then the 1st station they see. If this is a lame idea, I am sorry. I am just really disgusted

Gass prices are way too high I mean I remember when gas was $1.10 and it would cost the most $20 to fill up my tank now with gas costing about $3 I am paying $40 to fill up my tank it is killing me I can't save money this way I try not to drive much but it no use I have to drive to see family and friends and to do other things it is insane.

I work in Amityville so it seems gas is a little cheaper there then where I live on the north shore in Nassau county...I buy gas on the way home from work....

Yeah, I always noticed gas is a little cheaper near my brother's house in suffolk than in NE Nassau.

I spent $40 last night filling up my Volkswagen! Outrageous! I have to put premium in my car and I almost passed out when it stopped at $40.
For the Queens girls, I know that right now the Hess on Crossbay is cheaper for premium gasoline than anywhere I have seen. Last night I think it was $2.87

We belong to BJ's and the one on 110 in Farmingdale has gas pretty cheap, so I started filling up there. They only have 87 and (I think) 93 octane, though. I used to put 89 in my car, but I have been using 87 in it and it's been fine.

That's nothing!! I went to fill up my Expedition and the pump stopped at $50 only my tank wasn't filled up all the way!!! Apparently at my local gas station when you use a debit card to pay for gas at the pump it won't let you purchase more than $50 at a time!!! UGH!!!

I can't stress over pennies
I have a 13 gallon tank- x $.04=.52
you waste more gas looking for a cheaper gas station
