NWR: The Peekskill Inn

This may seem random, but just in case anyone ever plans to stay at the Peekskill Inn, I would like to warn you! FH and I planned to go away this weekend with another couple. We booked a room with a full bed and a terrace overlooking the Hudson River (or so we were told) and so did the other couple. We went to the area to do a few activities. We even called on our way there to confirm everything and were told that everything was all set and that our rooms were next to each other. When we arrived, we were told that the room we wanted was not available. The other couple was given a room with two beds and a terrace. Nothing they said made sense. One woman, who is the one who messed up our reservations and gave us false information, was very rude and basically accused us of being liars. We were apparently bumped for a wedding. We were given what we were told was the only available room. It had no view, no terrace, and it smelled! We refused it and had to stay with the other couple and split the cost. We did not have any romantic alone time like we planned. It was a big mess and there are more details I could get into, but I just wanted to vent that my weekend I had planned for a while and spent money on was destroyed by this place. We made the best of it with our friends, but I would never recommend this hotel. Their customer service is horrible!
