NWR: Thoughts of good luck and prayers that I land a new job
Since dating/ and being engaged I have been working as a Speech Language Pathologist contractor which is ok but not stable as I would want it to be, As soon as a school budget is tight I am the first one out. I didn't even find out until mid June that the 12 month school program I was working wouldn't need me for the summer and of course that ****** since the wedding is around the corner. I have been scrambling to pick up hours doing coverage for therapist that are on vacation and picking up home care cases but I am just at the point where I want a full time permanent gig in one location that isn't contract. At 3;30 today I have an interview to work for the NYC Department of Health in their Early intervention Department as an evaluation reviewer. It is a permanent full time job with city benefits and a semi decent starting salary. Now that we are getting closer to the wedding I just want to have a more stable job that will pay me decently and allow me to start a family sooner than later. I am praying that the interview goes well and they will let me start after our wedding and honeymoon. I don't want to be overlooked because I am getting married in a month. I hope it all works out. I am willing to take a pay cut for stability. Please send you LIW good thoughts and prayers for me today At 3:30 PM during the interview. I will keep you posted.
