NWR-ticks

FH was in my brothers backyard today with our dog to help paint a fence. He was eating, sitting at the table with only boxers on and yells that he found a tick. He said he brushed it off anc thought he caught it in a napkin. I DEMANDED to see it so I could have peace of mind that it was caught but the FU(K!ng thing wasn't in there. How long do ticks live without a host to latch on to? My dog get's Frontline religiously. Anyone know????????????

I have a duge, disgusting fear of bugs. I just tried to research it online but couldn't BECAUSE OF THE PICTURES......

I don't know about humans but I had to call Frontline about my dogs they keep getting ticks on the and I don't know why. so they told me that the ticks live up to 24-48 hours and can grow up to the size of bluberries before dying. It really aggrevated me when she told me that because then it is a huge waste of money every month to put the Frontline on. I know this probably doesn't help but I just thought I would throw it out there.
