I shave too and I just started laser hair removal for the leg and bikini. I may get the full brazilian laser in the future.

You all shouldnt be embarrassed to go... these women are LICENSED to do this, and they see it ALL the time... I personally am a NYS licensed esthetician and am licensed to do skin care, facials, makeup and WAXING! So I know what it's like being on THAT end... and trust me, I NEVER thought ANYTHING of these women... It's what they get PAID to do, its work for them... Kinda like guys piercing women's t!ts.. they seen em once, seen em all, and it's just $$$ in their eyes!!!

I wanted to look into laser...i use nair...then every so often i do the wax, it hurts a bit...but so worth it!
The wax $$ does add up and the nair smells stinky!
How is the laser working so far?

Re: NWR - TMI Question for Women

I either shave it all sometimes or I leave the 'happy trail' lol FH is such an a$$!! But that's what I do... to try and keep clean I usually use baby wipes (with aloe) when I wipe after going the bathroom. I also use those wipes that they sell from Playtex (vaginal cleansing wipes)-- they work great especially after my period.

That's basically it-- I also mositurize around it a lot, especially after shaving b/c it gets dry. I use curel and then if I get close to the 'lips' lol I use vaseline because that's the very sensitive part but it keeps it so smooth and clean! I use all the same stuff little babies do b/c if it's good for them it's good for me! And then I'm super clean, moisturized and the hair is always 'groomed'.

I like to take those AZO pills (cranberry and anti-yeast) for the internal health of my reproductive system.... they are great!

HTH!!! and NEVER TMI-- I was going to be a health teacher as a living for a while so I have a big interest in this stuff and it's important for people to know!

I had the first treatment Monday. It stung a bit in a few places but was ok. Haven't noticed any results yet but I need like 12 treatments so it won't be over by the wedding (the treatments are every 6 weeks).

FH waked his back and broke out everywhere. I dont want that to happen especially down south, so i shave. Plus i am just too scared of the pain.

It doesn't hurt that much - take advil

I wish I could wax! I started doing my own, and I would bruise and bleed. I figured I was doing it wrong, so I went to a professional a few times - same thing! I guess I have very sensitive skin. Then I tried Nair for a while, but my skin had a real nasty reaction to it after a while - as if it were burning. I made sure I didn't leave it on too long, but that didn't help. So I'm with the rest of you shavers! Maybe I should try laser.

JUST A WARNING - those of you girls who have never had a wax, particularly a Brazilian, don't wait until your wedding to try it. My friend had hers done 2 days before and she had a similar reaction to me. A lot of bleeding and bruising. She had to get it done over 2 days because they had to stop half way through the first time. Try it a few months before to get used to it. My friend could barely walk on her wedding day - and I'm not even joking!
