NWR: To kill some time, what kind of car do you drive?

i probably drive the worst car on the boards. i currently have a 1984 Mercedes Benz (yes i drive a car the same age as myself).
let me tell you that just because its a Mercedes does not make it a good car. it is impossible to get parts for this car. out of the four windows, only one opens. i am currently driving around with the passenger door panel in the trunk of the car while my dad waits for a part so that window can open. the AC does not work. the heat & defroster only work some of the time. it is currently parked in front of my house while my dad waits for a new water pump to come in. over the past few month FH has been using the car to get to school. the water pump broke a week ago & FH wanted to junk the car but since my dad bought it he ordered the new piece & will be fixing it.

on a happier note FH & i are discussing getting a new 2009 Honda Accord within the next couple of months. that would be awesome!!!!

My FH is an old Mercedes NUT. He fixes them on the side and used to have 2 - now just 1 (just sold the other last year), and FSIL has an '87 Mercedes. If you want help finding parts for it - let me know - I might be able to help you out!

'08 VW Eos. LOVE it! My only complaint is that I miss driving a 4 door car (my past 4 cars were all 4 door) - oh well, it is great driving a convertible though - too bad the weather has been crappy this week!

I wanted to get this car when it first came out!! but I was told to wait a few years.. how do you love it??? would u recommend it? Im done payin off my car in a year was totoally thinkin about gettin this car.. :)

I would totally recommend it! The only complaint is, I have the 2.0 Turbo - and it has 2 drive modes (when not in tiptronic), regular and sport. If I drive it in regular, the turbo lag (before the Turbo kicks in) hesitates when you put your foot on the gas -and I don't trust the car when I put my foot on the gas to pull out into traffic because I am not sure if it is going to accelerate right away (it's only about a second or two - but that totally matters!). If I drive the car in sport mode it totally doesnt do it - at all (but burns more gas). So I switch from regular mode to sport mode while I am driving in traffic. It is a quick car though with great gas mileage! So, if you are looking at it - I would either get it in manual or the V6. Other than that - NO complaints!!! The car is great, and the hardtop convertible with a sunroof is awesome!

This question came to me with my parking in brooklyn post. I don't exactly have a huge truck but it's certainly not a little car....

My first car was a '92 Ford Explorer that was near death when I got it lol but I needed something to get back and forth to school and FH's. Now I drive a Jeep Grand Cherokee and I am in loveee lol

Haha ya it really was in great condition, a mechanic had previously owned it. But after a year I started to not feel safe after a few SCARY close calls in the rain. FH thought I was making it up and it was in my head bc I was just scared then he pulled it out of my driveway once and came in and said wow I was just in there for 45 seconds and didnt feel safe. I'm like duhhhh told you!!! Then I got my JEEP haha

ETA: I totally splurged on myself with the Jeep bc it was right after I passed the CPA exam. I told myself I earned it even though I'm paying more than I prob would have to if I chose differently, oh well I'm in love!! haha

'99 Acura Integra....she's my baby and I love her. She's 10 years old and only has 75,000 miles

But soon she's going to FH and I'm getting a Nissan Rogue (like in the next two months). I need something bigger for my job.

thx so much!! it sounds awesome... I wanted it sooo bad when it first came out but it wasnt goin to be ready intime so they told me to wait on it.. hopefully in 1 more year I will look into it.. I loove that it has a hardtop convertible.. the one thing i hate with my car is the soft top gets sooooo dirty!!!! lol

You should def feel safe in car my explor was hit 3 times ( none my fault i total felt safe inthat car just wanted a new one) but my first car 1983 chevy lossed the breaks on the cross island at 1 am me and my sister total freaked had to stop it by shutting it off thank good no other cars wherebehind me my mother jucked the car the next day my e brake also didnt work

FH has an '06 Subaru Impreza and a 1972 Dodge Dart. Obviously, the Dart is a fixer-upper fun car

We own a few cars, since FH just keeps buying them....boys and their toys!

I drive an 07 Jetta Wolfsburg..his name is Victor
Occasionally I drive FH's car WRX Subraru Impreza....her name is Holly
And we have an old porsche 911...the kind Jake Ryan drove in 16 Candles
And we have the 1972 fully restored BMW 2002 series which I LOVE!!!!!! But I'm lucky I can sit in it without FH yelling at me.

And we are about to buy a new Ford Explorer for me....I'll probably give up the Jetta.

These cars are sending me to the poor house...

I am using FH's care now (Nissan Maxima 05) since my hoopty (98 Cavalier) works when it feels like it.

I always wanted a Toyota Rav 4!
