NWR: Townhouse development in East Meadow?

Does anyone know of any information about the townhouse development being built in east meadow (or merrick).

I can see it being built from the meadowbrook parkway and it's a huge development.

Anyone know what i'm talking about?

If I remember correctly, I think they MIGHT be under the same development/owner/w/e as the ones by Fortunoff, so I'd imagine they will be quite expensive.

I would love more info on them if any one has.

Of course they are going to be expensive. Its Long Island. Nothing is affordable!

*IF* they are owned by the sames ones as by Fortunoff (Archstone), DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT go there.

My sister used to live in the Archstone ones (across the street from the Source on Merchant's Concourse). She had to move out because they had a MOLD problem! They weren't told until some people starting getting sick. My sister moved out immediately, and has a dog with lots of health problems that she thinks is due to the mold. She's in the middle of a very heavy lawsuit with them. And the developers offered nothing to the tenants but one month's rent.

Yup. Luckily, when it all went down, she was actually finishing up closing on a house that she bought. So she was one of the lucky ones that had somewhere else to go (she just moved into the house earlier than expected). But most of those people had no where to go. My sister was actually interviewed by the papers. Let's just say Archstone better hope they settle with her or they're going to get hit.....hard.

The townhouse Complex you are talking about is being built across the street from the Military Housing and they are going to be a 55+ community. Sorry. As far as the military housing that is being offered to the public now and it's npt that badly priced. My friend went there the other day and for a 2 bedroom 2 bath it was $2,000 with utilities included.

I heard the same thing but heard the mold was due to the old racetrack that used to be there a long time ago. Something to do with the chemicals the put on the track. SCARY! Mold is soooo dangerous!

I cant believe they only gave a months rent! Thats rediculous!

I use to live in the military housing also before they tore it down. There are so many 55+ communities around. What about middle income people who need affordable housing.
