FH lives in Brooklyn and I live in Plainview....does anyone have any suggestions on what towns are the best areas at the beginning of the SSP so we can be between both families????
We were thinking of New Hyde Park, Valley Stream, etc.......
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!

RVC is amazing but not cheap...you can find fixer uppers sometimes though...OC is also really nice also and close to RVC...
I loooove RVC..SUCH a nice town.

Yea i think we are going to start looking for houses in that area.....if we don't find any good steals (FH's father and mine are contractors) then we look for apartments in that area so we can get familiar with it........
I just want to make sure that the RVC school district is good also.....since we plan on a few

yes its very good! and some of the RVC houses are zoned for OC schools which are also good....

if i was able to move further out, I would stay in Plainview/Old Bethpage!!
I am trying to be fair and be in between both families.....20 min from Brooklyn and 20 from Plainview.....hey, I need babysitters in the future!

FH and I moved to RVC in March- its great! We live on Lincoln Ave, which is near everything! I love it! It has that small-town feel (which I was looking for). We looked at a bunch of apartments over there this winter which were really nice, but we needed to keep our rent under 1,000/month (Im going into 'medical' school and won't be working-FH has to pay for everything). The houses (if you choose to go that way) are VERY well-kept and gorgeous!
