So DH doesnt have to go to work- LIRR has been suspended and he works in the city, But me- My boss is calling trying to get us all in to work- Ill go if I magically get shoveled out, its just Id rather lay in bead and drink tea ... Anyone have to go to work today?

im working from home. dh didn't have a choice obviously (he's a cop). it's a little lonely but at least i have my clover!

They wanted me to come into work. My entire dept. called out and they still wanted me to come in. I laughed. I've played that game in the past... being the 'hero'. I never even got a thank you. They can take it out of my personal time if they really feel the need.

hey Ray...hubby works for transit too! He was in Brooklyn until 5:00AM this morning then got stuck at Grand Central without any trains running to get home until like 1:00pm..poor thing came home and then shovled my car out!
As for me...I did what Jill said and got smart this year..told them I couldnt come it. Last year I went in like three times and played the hero..I even got stuck there and had to take a $60 cab ride home! Not this year!!

I called out... I couldn't get out our entrance, and it was wicked dangerous out there this morning.
Apparently, I wasn't the only one... it took me an hour and half to get someone on the phone.
