Does anyone use Turbo Tax to do your own taxes? I'm thinking of using it this year and I'm just wondering if it's easy or hard to use.

Re: NWR: Turbo tax
I used it last year and found it to be pretty easy, and I'm totally clueless about taxes!! There are help buttons you can press if you need definitions or further explanation and they go step by step, telling you where to find the info they need. I plan to use it again this year and so does my FH.

Re: NWR: Turbo tax
I typed a whole reply and it disappeared from my computer.
I used it last year and it was great! I did it through their website because I don't itemize and they had a special. I had my refund in like a week!
This year we bought a copy since my FH's taxes are a bit more complicated. I'm doing mine this weekend (he doesn't trust me to do his yet though).

It is real simple - it walks you through the process

Re: NWR: Turbo tax
Definitely recommended if your tax situation is simple - ie. bank statement and w2 or even a home mortgage deduction.
I get the program every year and love that you can import the previous year's data to the new software so you don't have to retype everything. :) Either Turbotax or Taxcut are good choices.

really easy FH doesnt know anything about tax time and his cousin a financial auditor suggested it. It is so simple because it explains each step and what forms you would need. GOOD LUCK

Buy the program, you'll get a bunch of rebates and you can also e-file one federal and state return free. After the rebates, the programs were pretty much free for me. And I was able to do multiple returns for the rest of my family.
Get it, there's too many advantages to list from getting the program I've done it for years now and find it alot better than filing online - inputting all that data online is also not as secure if you don't have the proper firewall.
