NWR... UGH

I am beyond pissed right now! Me & FH lent MIL $3000 which was 'promised' to be given back in November. Haven't heard anything so I told FH to ask when we would get it.. End of DECEMBER. W T F?! We both have good jobs but we also have two tuitions to pay, holidays, rent, and wanted to put away a chunk into our wedding fund. I hate being taken advantage of!!

I would be pissed also... esp with so much going on. Plus, it makes you think when Dec rolls around she'll have another excuse. Hope you'll get your $$ sooner than later.

UGH! I can relate. FMIL always asks FH to 'borrow' money to go food shopping, gas, etc. and says she'll pay him back....she NEVER pays him back....and we both know she has no intention of doing so....

OMG I totally know the feeling!!
FH and I dont discuss finances all that often, but i know he 'lends' his brother money here and there....who is like 8 years older!!!
What about instead of asking for the whole 3K, get a little here and there? At least youll have a tiny bit more for holiday shopping?

My sister always asks to 'borrow' some money and I usually don't have a problem giving it to her...but I already told her that for the next year I'm prob not going to have any extra money to give so not to bother asking. I didn't say it that mean but she understood.

Sorry, that sounds like a tough situation. You would expect people to pay you back when they say especially since you guys have a wedding to save for. Maybe she can pay you some now so at least you have some of it for the holidays.
