NWR: Unemployment

NWR: Unemployment

Any ladies that have been on unemployment in the past or if you know someone who has been...

If i have been paying taxes out of my unemployment check every week, will I get a W2 next month to file? I feel like they take so much out it would only be right to be able to file for it, but i cant find any answers on the website?

I'm assuming if taxes are taken out, they are required to supply that W2.

they will supply the W2 either way.

although i dont see how they wouldnt be taking taxes out, unless you asked them not to... even then i dont know if they would do it...

When i first applied they asked if i wanted them to take out the taxes and i figured id rather lose it each week than have to pay at the end... I just hope i get something back....

I think if you dont get the taxes taken out you would get the 1099 not the W2 I think but its stupid not to take the taxes out. So either way you would get something and have to file.
