NWR: USPS really stinks (RANT)

NWR: USPS really stinks (RANT)

Im starting to think mailmen are either incompetent, illiterate, or both. My mailman constantly puts my mail in my neighbors mailbox in the complex next to mine. And not only that, I have to have my packages shipped to my mom because if I have a package shipped to me and Im not home, they leave it on my doorstep and it disappears. Ive lost 3 packages. Im so frickin annoyed right now. Why would they leave a package on someone doorstep? Ive read on the website, the only way theyre allowed to leave a package on a doorstep is at a screen door and I sure as hell dont have a screen door. UGHHHH Im so pissed. Okay rant over.

And they're supposed to be signed for!

Well normally at least if the person isnt home they should take the package back and leave a slip saying its at the post office. Im guessing the mailman is too effin lazy to fill the slip out and just drops the package. Id say Iv lost over 150 dollars because of USPS. Now IM freaking because I ordered FH's wedding band from ice.com and they deliver usps. It would really suck to lose that.

You can call your post office and let them know what's been happening and this is unacceptable. Also leave a note on your door so the mail person doesn't leave the package.

Girl, Ive tried both those things. They dont care. I just called and they told me they delivered my package the 23rd which was when I was upstate. No one was home so why would they leave it. I would also loooooooove to catch whoever is low enough to steal packages. The old lady upstairs and her aide HATE US. So Im guessing whenever she sees a package of ours on the floor she takes and it throws it out. I know its not nice to accuse but they really really hate us.

Hey don't knock USPS!!

If you call the PO and tell them not to leave packages at your door then they will leave you a slip. Most LC will leave the packages at the door so that they don't inconvenience the customer.

I have told them not to do this numerous times and I have left notes. It doesnt work. Theyre inconviencing me and my wallet by doing this.

Go or call the post office and ask for the Post Master. Tell him that you need your packages held at the PO because they are disappearing. You may have to fill out a form to show that you want them held there.
Also, ask if your route is an assigned route or if there are floaters covering it. If there are floaters then if they tell one the rest of them may be clueless. Ask them if they can post something on the desk where the people rack.

Thats not right! That totally *****! I'm with you girl. Who are they to leave a package out in the open on a doorstep? Someone should always have to sign for it!
