I just had the best idea! I was thinking about what to do for DH's Birthday this year and I was going to give him a casino theme party. Instead, I figured if I am going to spend all that money, why not give him the real thing? I really want to take him to Vegas!!! Any recommendations on where to stay? TIA!

I was in Vegas 2 weeks ago and stayed at the MGM Grand. It's not super luxury but for the $$ and location we loved it.

Wynn Bellagio Venetian
And believe it or not, Planet Hollywood is all redone (if my memory serves me correctly it was the Aladdin?) and gorgeous!

I went many years ago and stayed at Mandalay Bay.. they have an awesome pool area. They even have a wave pool surrounded by whit sand.. so you get the beach feel and a lazy river and a regular pool. Oh and there's an aquarium in there too!

I love the Hard Rock and Mandalay Bay. Great nightlife options
But Venetian and Bellagio are more romantic.

Re: NWR: Vegas Recommendations
I've stayed at Treasure Island, Monte Carlo, and MGM Grand.
They were all nice, always wanted to stay at Venetian, that will def be my next choice. Honestly, I think almost all the hotels are nice in their own ways, for me I picked based on price!
Have fun!!!

ditto...I love it there.
as far as gambling money, that depends on how much you gamble. We bring a couple thousand in spending. Use credit cards for all meals, etc but keep cash for entertainment. We love to gamble.

Re: NWR: Vegas Recommendations
when we went we stayed at the Hard Rock i do recomened it but the only downfall is that its not right on the strip its a 4 or 5 min taxi ride i think cost us 10 bucks each way...
I loved the ventian and Mandaly Bay also :)
and money well it all depends on how long u are there and how much gambling u do.. we brought about 2000 cash for gambling and used our debit and credit cards for shows n food

Re: NWR: Vegas Recommendations
thats what i had planned for his bday this year, i was gonna take him to vegas but now he has to go away for work during the time i was planning it. The problem is I cant do it right before or right after since he'll be away on business, he cant take too long off of work right now and that would be about 2 weeks this was my plan all year to do this lol, im still gonna do it but not for his bday, ill do it maybe our 1 year or a little after.
I was planning on stay at the bellagio, its real nice and in the middle of everything. Plus dh has been to vegas like 6x and he has stayed at alot of hotels and thats one he hasnt and really wants to. Ive stayed at the palms and loved it, its a bit further from the strip but wasnt a problem
