NWR Vent: Effin Public Storage Almost Gave me a Heart Attack

I have all of the stuff from my apartment in a storage unit. I knew I would need it for the day FH and I move in together so I've had it in a Public Storage facility for just over a year.

I had 2 e-mails from them just now: first one stating that they had tried to contact me a number of times due to the fact there may be WATER DAMAGE in my unit. B/c of all the rain the NY area has gotten I need to go to the storage by June 14th to check it out and if I don't they are going to go in themselves and look everything over.

I'm reading it and freaking out b/c I never got any phone calls or e-mails from them until now.

Then i see the 2nd e-mail and it says 'sorry, we sent the original message in error so disregard it'

WHAT??? That's a pretty serious error - you just made me think all of ish was all moldy and destroyed. SOOO PISSSED!! Def going this weekend to check it out!!!!

oh definitely go check your stuff out. I've known a few people who have used storage units. My MOH had lots of stuff destroyed bc of water damage but no one else I knew did.

Let's hope everything is nice and dry.

I would check it out too. I'm paranoid and I've learned many times that some people S UCK at their jobs
