NWR - Venue for Company Holiday Party
In the midst of planning my wedding, I have to start thinking about planning our company's holiday party. The person who usually handles this can't do it this year. For the past 2 years, we've had it at Dave & Buster's in Farmingdale. It's close to our office and can accommodate the 100-115 employees we have. And they let us rent all the bowling lanes so there was something fun to do besides eat--especially since the boss doesn't allow any alcohol at the party. But the food wasn't very good, so I'd like to have it at a catering hall this year. I think having a dj and good food would be a nice change. Does anyone have any ideas on reasonably priced venues in the area that I can look into? I'm thinking it will be a 4 hour party from 1pm-5pm on Wed 12/18 or Thurs 12/19. So far, I've reached out to Crest Hollow and Fox Hollow and even Thatched Cottage. But I'm sure I'm missing a few places. Any thoughts?

I'm not sure how you'd feel about having your Holiday party at the same place as your wedding, but we had a holiday party at the Westbury Manor once and it was so nice. That may be a little far from your job though. Crest Hollow and Fox Hollow are great choices, too. They do really nice holiday parties. You might also consider having it at a large restaurant. Like Four is right there and I'm sure they can probably do something on the off hours. I did a sit down dinner for my company and it was lovely. That was at Matteos in Huntington a couple of years ago. I know they've changed owners since, I'm not sure how it is anymore. Also - I know you don't want a Dave & Busters feel, but we've done 300 Bowl (I think that's the name) right on 110. We had a private area and rented the bowling lanes. Same idea as Dave and Busters but at least it's a new place to change it up.

I would check out Four in Melville. My fiancé had his holiday party there & the food was good.

Yes to Westbury Manor. They gave me a very good quote for a buffet for our party. There is also The Metropolitan and the guy offers to match quotes and the space there feels better for a party. We chose the Inn at New Hyde Park for its proximity to our main offices. All of the above had good reviews for food.Welcome New Vendors
