I am looking for an event space that isn't too expensive for a baby shower. We are looking to bring our own food. We just need a raw space. If you know of any you can recommend it will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!

Re: NWR: Venue Space
How raw?
My family is large so we never fit in one person's house. Therefore we would do pot luck or get catered at the closest VFW or Knights of Columbus.

Re: NWR: Venue Space
sometimes churches have rental space in the basement.
Also, knights of columbus is usually inexpensive - or other 'club' type venues.

Raw- meaning nothing fancy pretty much an open space where I can decorate it as I please. I will look into the church basement. Thanks!!

defintely try a Knights of Columbus. You can usually get a good price.

We used a VFW hall for my sister's sweet 16 and it was great! I think it was $500 to rent the space and they provided a cash bar. It was in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

Well, that's wy I asked because that's what you'll get with a Knights of Columbus or a VFW. Whomever suggested a firehouse was smart, too, we've had a few family functions there as well.
