Our dog needs a serious dental cleanning done. If you've taken your dog to your vet and had this done and were happy with the outcome, please recommend who you used.
TIA!!!

Re: NWR: Veterinarians
We use Dr. Berstein in East Northport. He's on Larkfield Road in Aboff's shopping center. My dad has known him for a few years and he was wonderful!

Re: NWR: Veterinarians
I can't remember what the heck we paid. I would call and get different prices though, because in order to clean the teeth, the vet does blood work and knocks the dog out, so it will probably run around $150-$200.

Thats true. At kingsbridge..if your pet is under 5yrs of age no blood work needs to be.

WOW...these prices are so much cheaper than I was quoted at 1 animal hospital. They quoted me $500! Thanks for the info, I will definitely call around for more quotes.

Re: NWR: Veterinarians
I go the East Meadow animal hospital. I can't really have this done (even though my dog desperately needs it) as pugs don't respond well to anethesia at all
but i've always liked the vets and technicians there and i don't find them to be ridiculously overpriced

Re: NWR: Veterinarians
Dr. Rowan at My Pet's Vet in Huntington. They are fantastic there & very reasonably priced. Many show breeders take their pets to her as well.

I am sorry but I have to disagree about their pricing. I used to go there for many years ( I have 5 dogs plus my moms edog, plus my MILs 2 dogs) and they charge almost double of what our current vet charges. Also more than once I made a late appointment (I used to work in manhattan) would call & confirm that day that they would be there for me late & I'd get there to no one but the Kennel watchers.

Little Neck Animal Hospital and Surgery, by Dr. Parver. Wow, I've never seen such clean teeth and and smelled such good breath from my doggie!
