Re: NWR- VW Passat...

2003 Passat. Great in snow....not good on gas, but reliable. I'm looking to upgrade to the Toureg, but have 2 more years on this lease.

I have a Jetta and I hate it. I have never had so many problems with a car. I don't know if it the entire VW line or just the Jetta but I will never buy another VW again! Make sure you research as much as you can and don't just buy it for the pretty purple lights! (like me )

FH has a Jetta that has been nothing but problems either. We will never guy another VW. I've never seen so many recalls in my life.

I have a 99 passat, I love it! I would love to upgrade to the toureg or new passat, we'll see...
I have had almost no problems besides regular maintenance stuff...

Re: NWR- VW Passat...

I have a bug and I LOVE it. I've had a few recalls, but I just had them done when I went in for regualr service no big deal. BTW, the recalls were all either for the bug and the jetta, not for the passat. I've actually heard nothing but great things about the passat. It's a great car. Get the V6 w/4 motion!

Re: NWR- VW Passat...

I had an '00 Jetta and it was the best car I ever had. I put like 70K miles on it in 2 years, and it never needed anything other than regular maintenance. I'd buy another VW in a heartbeat!

Good luck!

I have a 2001 Passat and have had no problems at all. --The pick-up isn't that great if you care about that stuff (mine is a 4 cylinder).

DH has a 2002 Passat....we love it! No real problems at all....I am not a car person but it rides really smooth and even short me can see driving it (which isn't the case with most cars).
