NWR: wackiest thing you've ever done during an airport layover
The 'where have we been' thread that I started got me thinking. . .let's play this game!
What's the wackiest thing you've ever done during an airport layover?
I have two stories, both of which coincidentally were done during two separate trips I made to Portland, OR:
1. Salt Lake City: had a 3 hour layover, so I decided that I wanted to see the city in 60 minutes or less. I flagged down a cab driver who more than obliged my desire to see the city. If you've seen that episode of South Park where they talk about John Smith, you'll know what I'm talking about when I say that I heard 'dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb duuuuuumb' ringing throughout my head during my mini SLC tour.
2. Chicago/O'Hare: layovers here are as inevitable as delays. During a layover that turned into an extended delay, I decided to get a burger and a beer at an airport pub. Well, two 40-somethings from Oklahoma were delayed as well, and I started talking to them. Let's just say that two hours and several tequila shots later, we made our flights.
