NWR-Wall of Shame

NWR-Wall of Shame

BeLissa and I were talking about this last night...

Do you think the Wall of Shame is working to deter people from DWI?

And do you think its okay to post peoples pictures without them being proven guilty?

I feel like if there was a drastic reduction in the # of arrests they were making, they'd be bragging about it.

On one hand, i'm happy that they're arresting and embarassing people to deter them from driving drunk. But on the other hand, they haven't been found guilty of anything and they're being publicly humiliated.

Thoughts?

i agree with you philosophically about it being shady to humiliate someone who's innocent until proven guilty, but i remember learning what the punishments for DWI are in other nations in one of those defensive driving classes. there's a reason why we have one of the highest number of vehicular fatalities in the world.

drunk drivers make me sick to my stomach. how dare anyone take the lives of others in their hands because the alternative is inconvenient.

I always say, no matter how much the cab costs (EVEN IF YOURE GOING ACROSS LI) its still cheaper than 1-getting arrested and a better option than 2-RUINING your life and killing someone else!

Am I the only one who is terrified driving late at night from this?
