NWR - Wardrobe question???

Well, I've never been that much of a girlie girl, I mean, I've worn dresses for occasions, but not so much anymore.

Well, Fh & I have a wedding in Massachussettes at the end of Nov. My question is - would it be inappropriate to wear knee length leather or suede boots (black) with a floor length dress? I really don't have any heels, so I would have to purchase them. I was kinda hoping to save the expense if I could get away with shoes I alredy have.

So would the boots be bad for a wedding? If so what do you ladies suggest?

TIA!!

i personally wouldnt wear boots to a wedding...maybe you could buy a pair of ballet flats at a reasonable price. You could always wear them again. That way your not wearing heals that you will prob never use again.

I wouldn't wear the boots. I agree that payless sometimes has really nice shoes and I always have luck with DSW.

I personally wouldn't wear boots. You can probably find some inexpensive shoes that you would wear again from DSW, payless, century 21. Good luck.

I wouldn't wear boots to a wedding, but honestly I don't think everyone will be wearing heels at a wedding in Massachusetts. Once you leave Long Island, weddings are totally different.
I would invest in a cheap pair of heels from Payless that you can wear to any formal function for the rest of your life. Get a simple black pair. I love Payless! All my shoes cost like $15 bucks lol

I agree-everyone else will be wearing heels. I would go to DSW-payless and get a really good inexpensive pair that you can wear over and over again.

I've seen it done, it depends on the type of dress. From what i've seen, it's a bit of a cowgirl look... Is that what you're going for?
Since the dress is floor length, you could get away with it, but IMHO... get a cheap pair of pumps and bring flip flops to change into OR borrow a pair of shoes.

Good Luck!

I agree. I just picked up some shoes @ Payless yesterday and they have a TON of very cute dressy flats for CHEAP!...it's BoGo there too, so I grabbed a pair of flip flops for a couple of bucks as my half-priced item. One can never have too many flip flops!
