Re: *NWR ... WE just found our FIRST apartment!
I bought my wardrobes at Fortunoff's, they have really nice ones with a lot of storge space. You can also find nice ones at Macy's furniture store. Ikea also has them.

NWL has some great stuff!
That's where we bought our rugs, they have a rug & furniture department downstairs at the West Hempstead location.

Ikea has had some AMAZING wardrobs for very reasonable prices. The only reason we didnt get one is b/c our ceilings/walls are wierd. I definately recomend checking them out.
Also, i don't know your budget or your tastes... but Walmart, Target, and National Wholesale Liquidators have some nice ones as well

I agree i have a nice wardrobe from IKEA... my favorite is my shoe&purse closet... i have my gazillion shoes and purses lined up neatly. It makes it so eay to coordinate my outfits in the morning.

Re: *NWR ... WE just found our FIRST apartment!
love our pax wordrobe from ikea!!! they have storage inserts for EVERYTHING....
just make sure you're up to assembling it very carefully... everything screwed together tightly and evenly.... or else it will become rickety and fall apart years down the road.
We've become assembly experts, so our ikea furniture is indestructible... even after 4+ years later of abuse
