Lake George is pretty reasonable as well. Both times I went were in the end of June beginning of July

FH and I went to Baltimore in May...We spent the day at the inner harbor walking around went to lunch outside...went to an italian restaurant for dinner and then went to a yankee orioles game. It was a lot of fun and only about a 3 hour drive!

Niagara Falls is a great road trip, if you're up for driving 9 hours. FH and I took a four-day weekend there a few years ago and had a great time.

montauk, greenport, rhode island, marthas vineyard, boston (my fav) washington dc, baltimore inner harbor, lake in connecticut, fire island, block island (love it!) ocean city md.
