NWR - Weight Watchers

Are you supposed to use your activity points or no??

You don't have to use them. It's up to you. I dont usually use mine just because I dont really eat alot. I usually end up eating under my points without even trying

Of course you can thats why they put them into the program but you do not have to eat them. Im like Colleen I never seem to eat enough so I always have extra left over on a few days which is bad I know. I hardly even use all my 35 either.

Re: NWR - Weight Watchers

I've been maintaining my 20 pound loss since September by eating almost all of my Activity Points and almost all of my 35 weekly points. I think it's suggested to eat most of them - keep your body fueled and such, also makes it a lifestyle change as oppossed to a diet.

That being said, I follow the Core progam on WW and have done so since July of last year, minus a week here or there on Points just to make sure that my portions don't get all out of whack. If I follow the Points program, I get the minimum amount per day: 18. I want to kill people when I'm restricted like that. My APs and 35 Weeklies are usually used on non-Core foods...and alcohol. Ha! Well...that makes it liveable for me.

It all depends on the person. Some people can eat them all and still lose well, others can't touch them. Play around for a couple of weeks and see what works best for you.

My recommendation, eat them. Along with your 35 WPA's. Remember, the more you eat when you're losing, the more you get to eat when you're maintaining.

And I'm sure I don't have to remind you ladies, but..............your daily target is the MINIMUM you should be eating. You should NOT be eating less than your daily target each day.

The Great Laura has spoken!

I have so much trouble sometimes though. Between maintence and my job (teacher) I get alot of extra points..so Im at 24. Most days I'm fine. Some days I just cant seem to eat them all and end up anywhere from 18-22. PLUS I have the AP. HELP Oh great one

Eat foods with a higher calorie content if you're having trouble getting your points in. Whole milk instead of skim, whole eggs instead of egg whites, full fat yogurt instead of fat free, etc.

That way you're getting the same volume of foods, but for more points.

Also make sure to double check your days. Are you getting in all of your good health guidelines???? If not, which ones are you leaving out? These should be taking up most of your points each day.

Totally. When I was going to meetings each week (now it's more of a monthly thing for me), some of the people in the meeting were lacking in the Good Health Guidelines - usually they weren't getting in the recommended amount of healthy oil per day. It seems weird...having oil to lose weight? But it keeps you full and is important in your diet.

That's a big part of why I'm on Core; trying to get in the Good Health Guidelines on 19 or 20 (now 18) points a day was REALLY difficult.
