NWR: Well sort of.. (tingling and anxiey question)

I'm getting married in 4 days I'm not sure if what I'm experiencing is a panic attack. I have never felt this before. I started feeling this after my bachelorette party this weekend!

I'm feeling very anxious that my wedding is coming up so soon (good anxious: happy). But I'm getting this weird tingling and numbness in my body. With everything I touch or do I feel pins and needles! I cant help but think about it since the feeling does not allow me to feel things I touch.

I can't help but be excited that its almost here.. if you've felt this is there anything you can do to get rid of this. I've tried relaxing tea only and it hasnt really helped.

I guess I need a spa treatment ....Or maybe I'm just weird..

I get that way sometimes too, especially when I drink too much caffeine.

I have had panic attacks as well, one so bad I ended up in the hospital. It literally feels like you are dying - you can't breathe, you do have some numbing and tingling, some people even have chest pains.

I know when I am having one now and my advice is, when you start feeling the numbness, just sit down and take a few really deep breaths. If it goes away, it's probably just anxiety. Otherwise, you may have a problem with your circulation. Either way, you should see a doctor.

HTH! Good Luck!

Hi, I'm the med student of the group (graduate in 3 weeks!!!) so here is my opinion. I doubt it is a panic atttack. If you have been dieting it could be a metabolic disorder. If you are low on calcium, potassium, ect... you cold have numbness and tingling. A panic attack would feel more like : racing heart, sweating, difficulty breathing, 'feeling of doom'. I would suggest taking mulitivitamins and gatorade in case it is a metabolic disorder. And relax, you wedding will be perfect.

I'm not a doctor but from what your describing is a feeling of Anxiety.

One of the signs is:

Numbness (loss of feeling) or tingling in your hands or feet. You may have numbness or tingling of your lips or around your mouth.

Hey Congrats on your soon-to-be graduation!

I have not been dieting. But yesterday I did feel as though I had some sort of stomach virus. Recently a lot of people I know have been throwing up and diarrhea for about a day or 2. I was this way yesterday and I forgot to mention that. I am also underweight which probably doesn't help the situation.

I just bought centrum pills on my way to work and Gatorade! Thanks a lot!

I know how you feel!!! I experienced the same thing and went to neurologists and had many tests done!! Turned out to be nothing-anxiety of course i guess. Not a doctor here-but seems likely.

You should maybe make an appointment with your pcp to make you feel better if you have time. But you can't feel things?????
As long as you don't have weakness (objective) in your muscles I wouldn't worry.-Again just talking from experience-FM me if u want! Anything I can do to make you feel better,
