NWR: Western-Suffolk Apartment Complexes

Since we REALLY need to find a place to live now, please recommend your western-Suffolk apartment complexes. We will probably only rent for a year, just to get used to living together before jumping in to home ownership, so we're not looking to spend an arm and a leg. We're looking at Lake Grove/Holbrook at the very easternmost, to Dix HIlls/Deer Park/Huntington at the western point. We'd like to stay relatively close to work and family on both ends of the spectrum. If you've had a great experience at a place, or even a really bad one to avoid, I'd greatly appreciate hearing about it.

TIA!!!

I live in the Fairfield Village at Middle Island which is a tad farther east than Holbrook, but there's a LOT of Fairfield Communities in the areas you're looking for, and I have no complaints; definitely check them out

FH & I lived in Fairfield Court on Golden Ave. in Deer Park. It was inbetween Deer Park Ave. & Commack Road and between Lake Ave. & Long Island Ave.

We really loved it there EXCEPT that they are veryyyy close to the train tracks. You do hear the train but you get used to it.

They completely renovated all of the apts. & the exterior...really pretty. You are also allowed to have pets. I believe it is $1,295 per month for the one bedroom apts. & $1,795 for the 2 bedroom duplex townhouses.

We would've renewed our lease there for a 3rd year if we didn't get our house.

Good luck!!!

ETA: Heat & hot water are included.

If you want to go south, I live at the Harbour Club in West Babylon and LOVE IT!!! I'm actually going to be sad to move when we close on our house. I've been here 10 years.

I know you're looking for an apt complex, but just wanted to say that we're most likely moving out of our basement apt in farmingdale sometime in Nov... And Im sure the landlord is looking to move someone in right after we leave bc they keep asking us if they can come down and take pics .... 1 bed, 1 bath... small place, but doable... we've been here for just over a year

We lived in hillcrest village off of broadway in holbrook

there is also a spruce pond in holbrook as well off of vets hwy and sunrise

these are both heatherwood communities

broadway knolls is nice too, just expensive imo

heatherwood you get free heat and hot water, and hillcrest has a new area with newer apts (that's where fh andi lived)

if you need any info...please fm me i know holbrook apts pretty well, went to look at just about all of them!
