there are so many but my favorites are lieb, old field, raphael, and waters crest....most vineyards have a map of all of the vineyards, pick one up, it's a great way to get around!!

Martha Clara has great atmosphere and a nice tasting room and Laurel Lakes Vineyards is really quaint with nice chilean style wine. There's also a tour company called I think North Fork tours or something like that that takes you around all the different vineyards and does a tour at the same time. It's great because you can drink all you want and don't have to worry about driving home!

Pindar!
ETA: If you look on '06 board, conigs just had her bachelorette party and they visited the vineyards out east - see what they thought.

I LOVED Wolffer Estate, but mostly because I think it's the most beautiful vineyard that I've been to on LI. The wine was really good, but it's just so gorgeous!
That being said, I love Pindar especially because last time I was there they offer a lot of wines for free in their tasting. You only have to pay for the reserves and more expensive wines. At least that's how it was last time I was there.

These are all great places. I also really like Pugliese - they have a lot of wines available for tasting and they're pretty good. Pindar is great because they also offer a lot of wines, but IMO they don't really taste very good. That might just be my palate though because I tend to prefer more oak-y wines which it's hard to find in LI.

I'm biased towards Raphael. Other fun wineries with good wines:
Shinn Estates Pindar The Old Field Macari Paumanok

Thanks, girls! DH's cousin was asking me last night. We might go with her and her boyfriend, once she decide which ones.

I got engaged at Galluccio Vineyard. The people are awesome and I love the wine.
Also Pulligliese (sp?) Duckwalk Pindar
Most of the vineyard will have at least 1 wine that you like!
