'Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)' originally done in the 60's by a girl group ( wanna say the Ronettes or someone?) but my fave version is by U2.
And...the best two EVER in my book are Bruce Springsteen's version of 'Santa Claus is Comin' to Town' and John Lennon's 'Happy Xmas (War is Over).'
Oh and I also love 'Do They Know it's Christmas' by Bandaid!
You can tell I like the pop stuff!
ETA: 'Christmas in Hollis' By Run DMC! And I love anything Nat King Cole sings...he's the ultimate holiday song singer in my book....

OMG LOVE that song!! Totally forgot about it! I had it on VINYL!! Remember records? It was actually on one of their albums- I can picture the album cover but can't remember the name. I won the record in a trivia contest at BUSY BEE flea market!!!! Who remembers that place?!?!

Re: NWR: what are some of your favorite christmas/holiday songs?
All three versions of the Hanukkah song by Adam Sandler. Darlene Love also sang a great song on Saturday Night Live last year called 'Christmastime for the Jews'
Also, a great one that not many people know: 'Zat you, Santa Claus?' by Louis Armstrong. It's hillarious.
and of course, Christmastime in Hollis is an all time classic.
Actually, this thread is great because we're having our annual Latkepalooza in a few weeks and I definitely want to make a new soundtrack for it this year, so keep em comin!
