NWR: what do u ladies think...

ok so i finally talked FH into getting a puppy. and i REALLY want one. but the more i think about it now, is it such a good idea to get one right before the wedding?? i mean we can do it no problem but do i want the stress of a puppy now on top of the stress of a wedding? should we wait till after the wedding when i can full time with the puppy? what would u do?

NOOOOO WAIT TILL AFTER!!!! puppies are expensive ESPECIALLY if they get sick and with all there shots and food wee-wee pads etc DEFINITELY WAIT trust me

I would say that if you already have doubts about taking on the responsibility so close to the wedding, then you should wait.

Puppies are a big responsibility - and if you get one before the wedding, you'll need to find someone very trsutworthy to care for him/her when you're on your HM.

I would wait. I wouldnt want the added stress before the wedding...or to worry about who will watch it during the honeymoon

dogs are wonderful - i have one and love her to death. BUT they are time consuming and expensive so my suggestion would be to wait until after when you can enjoy it rather than stressing over it.

Do it! You have plenty of time!!! They're great to have and once its trained, may actually help de-stress you!

i agree w. the gals above..puppies are sooo adorable but they require a lot of time and attention!! I think after the honeymoon would be a great idea - the days before the wedding can be really stressful and worrying about dog training and walking the puppy can cause that stress level to skyrocket!

100% WAIT!!!!!! You don't realize how expensive a puppy is until you have one, and they take up sooo much time. I love my dog, but he was such a headache the first few weeks. You're going to want to keep your external stress to a minimum around this time :).

In a nut shell:
Not only am I a special ed teacher, but I'm a dog trainer too.

Dogs, ESPECIALLY puppies take a lot of work. Being married takes LOTS of work as well.

Get used to being married, then get your puppy. Also, do your research. Make sure the kind of dog you are interested in will match up with your newlywed liffe.
