Re: NWR: what do you spend on grocery shopping?
Hmmm.. it really varies. DH and I aren't home enough to have dinner everyday.. so I'm only really cooking for monday, friday, sat and sun night.... AND he's so stubborn when it comes down to what I should make...
but you have to figure at stop and shop I spend anywhere from $40-80 and at target (i go with mom) I usually spend around $20-40. so.. I guess about $100.00 a week, but I keep stock on everything. like I have about 14 cans of whole peeled tomatoes, 2 cans of diced, i think 5 cans of tomato puree, um... 10 packets of yellow rice or rice pilaf... i can't even tell you how much pasta I have... and i have 3 boxes of cereal.. so considering i make sauce at least once a week.. i'm covered for like another month.
we just buy meat as we need. which is a pita, i'd rather just buy it, freeze it and use it when i want... rather then go to the store, over-pay for something that was on sale last week and have to race home to cook before midnight.

It varies a bit, but I would say anywhere between $60 - $90.
Some items add up, like cleaning products and house stuff, that's why there's a broad range there.

TOO MUCH!!!! DH and I weigh a combined 400 pounds!!! We will probably never be able to buy a house because we spend too much on groceries per week. I want to say on average $150/week.

DH and I are brokey-broke and on a strict grocery budget.
like 50 a week.
Sometimes if something good is on sale we stock up... but we're super frugal.

I should go every week, but I don't. If I go just for a couple of things (milk, cereal, etc), I usually spend about $30-40.
If I'm going because we have nothing in the house, I spend between $120-160.

now that I use peapod I only shop about once every 3 weeks and spend about $250 (we don't eat home every night). When we shopped in the store it was the same price but it was every other week.

I'd say average $100 - it depends - sometimes we shop at local supermarkets other times Whole Foods. So it evens out.

Around 100 a week including toilet paper, soap etc when we needed. We try to buy that stuff in bulk when its on sale to last.

About $50 a week for the 2 of us. Use a lot of coupons and always shop the sales.
