We are hosting Christmas and I want to make it extra special! Give some ideas of certain dishes you traditionally eat on xmas day!!!!

Usually roast beef, ham or turkey or 2 of t he3 and all the sides!!!!!!!!

haha. xmas eve is huge at my house.. so many people come by its been tradition for years so we always have a ton of food!!! LOL

come over anytime!! starts at 7pm.. dont be late, lol

Filet Mignon
Skirt Steak
Stuffed shrimp w crab meat
Snow crabs
Chicken Franchese (or marsala, cant rememebr)

greek lasagna
steamed veggies (brocoli, asparagus califlower, etc)
tourlou (greek thing mixed veggies and potatoes)
red potatoes
salad

EDITED: by the way, this is xmas day.....xmas eve is with FH family

i host every holiday..except this past thanksgivng. decided to hang up my apron and go away. (wish i could go away for xmas)

appetizers

coconut shrimp
shrimp cocktail
spanakopita
a spread of olives and diff cheese, hummus,babaganoush
cranberry walnut salad with raspberry vinegarette
french onion soup- will be added this yr

entree

honey glazed ham with pinapples
turkey
lasagna (this ur will be pastichio)
lemon potatos
cooked veggies

desserts
chocolate covered strawberrys
i make my own almond joy,so lots of that
this yr im making creme brulee!

One year my Mom did the feast of the 7 fishes on CE. She even soaked the Baccala and all that nonsense. Dad didn't appreciate it, so she never did it again (Thanks Dad). On Xmas, we usually have Manicotti with homemade sauce and meatballs. MmmmMmm!

we're italian so its probably different....

we usually have stuffed shells or lasagna and some sort of meat....

christmas eve is all seafood sothat doesnt help....again cuz were italian thats the tradition

We have it at my Aunt's house and my uncle is Greek. We eat Lamb. Well, everyone else but me.

We don't eat fish on xmas eve. My mom makes cocktail hour food lol. (little hot dogs, bruchetta, spanakopita etc)

Nothing will come close to when I was a kid... we always had Christmas Eve at our house... i have a huge family and everyone came over... We (when I say we i mean my dad) would make homemade pasta, gnocchi, stuffed mushrooms, ham, roast beef... and all the trimmings....

now we alternate Christmas Eve with my moms brothers and sisters... and everyone makes something....

Christmas Day Dinner was the best cause we lived nextdoor to my gma (dads mom)... she would make this soup that I still crave, and shes been gone 9 years in April... usually some type of meat, prob roast beef...homemade manicotti... i wish I was 10 again.....

Now I spend Christmas Day with Shaun's family... they alternate whos house its at every year and everyone brings something...
