NWR: What happens if you spill wine on your keyboard?

This just happened.

uhh..probably nothing good...lol. Actually i've had soda and stuff spill on the keyboard to my PC (not the lap top) and i usually get a towel and dry it .. then shake it a little ..then i turn it upside down to try and drain any other liquid in there. It's usually fine after that. On a lap top..i dunno.. that may cause some other issues..

i think it'll be ok.. i've done that plenty of times.. FH keeps telling me i shouldn't be allowed to drink anything by the computer cause i always knock it over some how.. yea i'm a slob..lmaooo!

It should dry and be ok!!!

It gets wet?

It will be fine as long as the wine doesnt dry sticky... I spilled soda on a keyboard once and that was very annoying.. The keys would either stick and type the same letter 18 times or just not work at all.

I dropped olive juice on mine and my right click broke on the mouse...Its really annoying when I want to right click a pic and save

Laura, didn't you just have that problem? Is it all fixed now? Well, I guess so since there are 'y's in your posts now. Was is easy to replace?

You should be fine if its not a laptop. Just maybe wipe it down with a wet paper towel or some windex- very carefully.

Hope you wiped it down right after it spilled, put it next to a window or AC to dry and it should be OK, if its still wet it may not work

I thought i was the only person who did that..the wine dried up and the keyboard no longer worked...i got a cheap 10 dollar keyboard at compaq...good luck!
