we celebrated early and I already got her a mother/daughter ring so I went simple this year and got her some things that she has been asking for... little things that she needs.

My mom and I are big into angels so I usually give her one. They have nice pewter ones with inspirational saying on them in the Hallmark store and a lot of the little cards stores...

I got her really random and odd stuff.
I got her 2 cement lions for her yard, and a large gift certificate to Spa Adrianna's for a corrective color job and hair cut.... not too subtle hint about her hair, huh? I can't help it. She dyes her hair herself, and doesn't do a good job at it. With some correction, she'll look

Me and FH are going there very early Sunday morning and doing her entire garden for her, planting flowers, that is what she wanted...Plus we are taking her out to brunch on Saturday, this way its not too crowded for her as Mothers Day will be, its hard for her to get out, so she is really looking forward to it.

We got our moms a gold pendant necklace with a pearl and small diamond in the center. Kind of tear drop shape , and matching earrings.

I'm sorry about your mom.
My mom asked for an andromeda bush for her front yard. It's a kind of flowering shrub. My mom loves her garden, and doesn't need knickknacks or perfume or clothes. We'll go to Hicks and pick one up sometime this weekend.
