NWR: what is it that you collect?

Original post by jgl

Sorry I'm bored (I should be cleaning).. What do you collect?

I love turtles so i collect turtles - mostly just ones that are different (like a glass one my sister bought me in italy and one made out of wood from Greece and others made of shells...) - i dont want to be one of those people that buys something JUST because they collect them

I also save movie tickets, i have a glass jug in my room with ticket stubs from pretty much when FH and I started dating.. not sure why I just keep dropping them in.

Oh and anytime i go some place and they have one of those machines that flattens a penny or quarter i have to do it.. so i have a bunch of those (not sure if thats collecting though)

And lastly... i've been collecting allt he new quarters. I have one of those folders that you stick the coins in.

I thought I was the only weirdo saving movie tickets! I stopped though. I have stubs from back to '99.

Now I just save lil mementos from trips, parties and stuff.

I have an idea of what to do with them, it's just a matter of holding on to them until I get a kitchen that can house something like that. I've seen so many people do creative things with corks, it's amazing!

Wow another turtle person I thought I was the only one. Same way too just ones that are different or special. Now I don't' feel so weird.

I also collect matchbooks I try to get one from everywhere we go.

Also the state quarters.

And I used to collect the collectable Barbies, haven't done that in a few years.

Are we twins???? I do the movie ticket thing and the flattened coin thing too! I just recently GOT the folder to hold them all! FH makes fun of me regularly that i pay 50 cents to flatten a penny..

We also collect movie toys or movie stuff...HUGE movie buffs!

Forgot - we also do snow globes of places we've been and magnets. Our fridge has NO ROOM LEFT from all the places we've been. We have a state magnet for the state and then each place we've been under it! It's rather fun!!!

I used to collect stickers when I was young. I had books and albums fill of them. My friends and I would trade them. I was obsessed. I have no idea what happened to my stickers, lol
