FH and I want to go out to the East end and spend the weekend & do a wine tasting. We never went went on one , etc. Which one would you recommend???
Which place should we stay at??? East Wind? We are planning to go in April for his b-day Thanks.

My favorite is Osprey's Dominion. They have spice wine - YUM!!!!!
I 2nd Osprey's Dominion... and you MUST stop at Briermiere's for a pie - they are delicious!!!

My last post didn't post... :( Anyway, here's what we love to do when we hit the wineries: we'll usually go to 3 or so but before we go, we hit up the Village Cheese Shop in Mattituck on Love Lane, get some cheeses, olives, and bread and nibble while we sip our wines at the vineyards! (Always good to have food on hand!) We'll also bring a board game (like Scrabble or Yahtzee) to sit and play while we sip a glass of wine. In the warmer months, we pack a WHOLE picnic basket, bring the bocce balls, and have a great time!!!! :) I want to go this weekend!!!

OMG! That sounds like so much fun! I want to go! We should put an liweddings vineyard field trip together. Great, now I want cheese. lol

I love Raphael! But also Pindar, Paumanok, Lenz, and Bedell. There are tons of beautiful B&Bs out there - we've stayed at the Red Barn and the Home Port and both are highly recommended. Try to get a meal at the Jamesport Country Kitchen, too. This restaurant is great!!!

I love the spice wine there!!! I bought three bottles
PIndar, Pellagrino, Bedel Cellars & Corey creek, but my favorite is Martha Clara.. last time we went there the own gave us a personal tour in the golf cart and we got to stop and taste the grapes... did you know that the Entenmann's family owns that vineyard?
