I heard on t.v. that Forever 21 has great jeans, it was on the news; one of those segments for designer styles for less.

I second NY & Co. One of the few places that carries jeans that fit me properly!! (I'm short, so I always need to get a petite length, and they carry different lengths!)
They have different styles and colors and their jeans generally run about $30, sometimes $20-25 when they're on sale.

marshalls in stony brook, right by the movie theater is having an awesome sale! i got 2 pairs of dark denim jeans yesterday for $35!
It's really a hit and miss. I got these Polo Sport Jeans there, they are the newer style with the rips and the bleach stains on them. I couldn't believe I found them there!! The best part is they were $19.99!!!!!!
I have seen them in Macy's for way more!

I was at the gap the other day and they had jeans for $19.99. I like the long and lean kind (even though I am neither!)

GAP has a good selection and their new fits may work on you. They aren't what I'd call cheap but they are reasonable. I don't fit in Express well but you might like those. Department stores will be tough to go looking through but may have what you want at a good price. Personally, I'd rather save my time (which, right now is worth a LOT) and buy higher quality that I know will fit and hold up.
